Texarkana, Texas, Municipal Court will offer amnesty from arrest for anyone with an outstanding warrant who pays their fines between Feb. 1 and April 5, according to a city news release.

During the amnesty period, those who pay Class C misdemeanor fines at the Texarkana, Texas, window on the first floor of the Bi-State Justice Building, 100 N. State Line Ave., will not be arrested. Their warrants will be recalled after payment is made.

The program aims to help residents avoid an embarrassing arrest. After April 5, unpaid fines could result in those with outstanding warrants being arrested, taken to jail and assessed a higher
fine.

Citizens can pay their fines in full with cash, a money order, a debit card or a credit card. If payment is made with a debit or credit card, service fees apply. Fines may be paid Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fines cannot be paid online.
