July 8th, 2019 by Gazette Staff in Texarkana News

HOPE, Ark.—Award-winning acapella sextet m-pact will headline this year's holiday show on Dec. 13 at Hempstead Hall on the University of Arkansas Hope campus. Tickets are on sale now at hempsteadhall.com and range from $40 to $30.

M-pact has performed with pop superstars Sheryl Crow, Boyz II Men, Kenny G, Liza Minnelli, Babyface, Rick Springfield and Jackson Browne to name a few. They have also performed with jazz legends Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, Bobby McFerrin, Take 6 and the New York Voices, as well as the Woody Herman Orchestra and the Maynard Ferguson Big Band.

In addition to touring across the country, these distinguished vocalists lend their voices to 20-30 films per year including "Spiderman 3," the "High School Musical" series and to television programs such as "Family Guy."

Their sophisticated sound, accessible appeal and original studio recordings have garnered rave reviews and vast accolades including Best Jazz Album, Best Pop/R&B Song, Best Male Vocalist and Best Vocal Arrangement from the CARA Awards, Best Seasonal Album and Best Unsigned Band from Billboard Magazine, Vocal Group of the Year from LA Music Awards and an Independent Grammy nomination.

Doors for the m-pact holiday show will open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin promptly at 7 p.m. Guests will also have an opportunity to meet Santa and have pictures made in front of an elaborate Christmas backdrop prior to the show.

For questions pertaining to show, contact Amanda Lance at amanda.lance@uacch.edu or 870-722-8566.
