An annual women's retreat from Broken But I Am On My Way Women's Ministry is planned for 6:30 p.m. July 20 at the Ramada Inn, 5100 N. State Line Ave.

"The purpose for this women's retreat is to see women set free from hurt, brokenness, rejection, pain and anything that was meant to destroy her," said ministry founder Kyra Hatton. "Ministry for me has been a struggle because I have been through so much within this year but I realized I can't give up or throw in the towel because destiny lives in me."

The theme this year is "Because of the Blood, I Survived What Should Have Killed Me."

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and light refreshments will be served at
6:30 p.m.

The speaker is Denorise Hamilton. Those with leadership roles in the retreat include Keisha Green, Ebony Jefferson, Jessica Titus-Ogden, April Winfrey and Jackie Holloway.

Admission is free.
