UPDATE: 2 p.m. State inmates are evacuated from the Howard County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility because of the floodwaters.

UPDATE: 1:20 p.m. Nashville residents said the waters were rising about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. The mayor estimates four feet of water flowed through the city's police station. Meanwhile, police responded to multiple water rescues through the county.

UPDATE: 12:30 p.m.: The floodwaters in Coleman Creek continue to rise, causing localized flooding in Nashville, Ark. The intersection of Highway 27 and Industrial Boulevard has been closed down.

UPDATE 11:30 a.m.: The Howard County Sheriff's Office in Nashville had patrol cars affected by the high-rising waters.

Just before dawn Nashville, Prescott, Mineral Springs and towns in that vicinity got hit with four to eight inches of rain, according to the National Weather Service out of Shreveport.

Dierks looks it was on the high end of that scale. Flooding was reported there.

As of 10 a.m. this morning, Flash Flood Warnings were still in effect for Northern Hempstead County.

The Nashville branch of Red River Credit Union is currently closed because of flooding in the town, according to the credit union's Website.

While post-Tropical Barry is weakening and moving out of our region a major summer heat wave mid to late week and into the weekend is expected to follow.

Texarkana forecast from now through Sunday is for abundant sunshine and temperatures in the low 90s.

And no rain.
