WASHINGTON, Ark.-The Hempstead County Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Presbyterian Church.
The guest speaker will be local historian Ed Talley of Washington, Ark.
Talley has a collection of old newspapers from around the United States dating back as early as 1800. As part of the program, these items will be displayed so that everyone to view original newspapers from different decades and see some of the unique stories in each of them.
The Historical Society seeks to bring awareness to the rich heritage and history of Hempstead County. Everyone is welcome.
