Area campuses slate new-student orientations

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana will hold four new student orientations prior to the beginning of the fall semester. Students can choose from morning or evening orientations on each campus on the following dates:

  •  Hope Campus Morning New Student Orientation-9 a.m. to noon Aug. 13
  •  Hope Campus Evening New Student Orientation-6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 13
  •  Texarkana Campus Morning New Student Orientation-9 a.m. to noon Aug. 15
  •  Texarkana Campus Evening New Student Orientation-6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 15

New student orientation is mandatory for all incoming UAHT students. Orientation will prepare new students for the college experience by reviewing academic expectations, financial aid and student account information. Students will also have the chance to meet their college instructors and staff and will be introduced to resources available on campus. Books, student IDs and parking tags can also be picked up during orientation. Attendees will also receive a free snack and T-shirt and be entered for prizes.
