Employee volunteers from the Domtar pulp and paper manufacturing mill in Ashdown, Ark., will be giving free tree seedlings to the public today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until supplies run out.
The free tree seedlings species include: persimmon, Eastern redbud, sand plum, Bur oak, Chinkapin oak, Pin oak, Sawtooth oak, sycamore and Loblolly pine.
"Tree seedlings will be given out on a first come, first served basis and are limited to one of each species per person," said Tammy Waters, communications and government relations manager.
The location will be the Little River County Courthouse lawn, 351 N. Second St., Ashdown.
