Alzheimer's forum will be held Tuesday

The Alzheimer's Association will have a Community Forum on Alzheimer's disease and other dementias from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Texarkana College, Levi Hall, 2500 N. Robison Road, Texarkana, Texas.

The event is free to the public and will provide an opportunity for residents of all ages to come together to ask questions about the disease, share their personal experiences, learn about available resources and discover volunteer opportunities to support families affected by the disease.

"The Alzheimer's Community Forum is a way to connect with others who have been impacted by Alzheimer's and other dementias and truly understand what the impact the the community and how we can put steps in place to better serve individuals in Texarkana and the surrounding areas," said Debra Adams, director of community relations at the Alzheimer's Association.

"As we continue to provide care, support, education and research to the residents across North Texas, it is important for us to meet individuals within the community and listen to their experiences related to Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia," she said.

Light refreshments will be provided at the forum.
