Texarkana College's Board of Trustees will meet at 11:30 a.m. today to consider a resolution for $312,314 in parking lot repairs and preventive maintenance.
The proposal from Tatum Excavating Co. is the lowest of the three the college received for the work. They also received a bid from Tri-State Asphalt for $326,841 and a bid from Wiley Calhoun Co. for $481,900.
The improvements will be paid by funds generated through the $10 million maintenance tax note the board approved in February for enhancement, upgrades and renovations to campus facilities to meet federal Americans with Disabilities Act compliance standards and modernize instructional space.
The board will also consider approving faculty contracts and rank advancement.
The meeting will be held in the Patman Room of the Truman Arnold Student Center, 2500 N. Robison Road, Texarkana, Texas.
