RailFest will move to Fairgrounds

Because of several days of rain in the weather forecast, Saturday's RailFest will move to the Four States Fairgrounds Entertainment Center, said Andi Darby, senior account executive at Townsquare Media, organizer of this year's RailFest.

RailFest is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with free activities and then again at 6 p.m. with live music concerts, headliner Parker McCollum and local act Dusty Rose Band performing.

RailFest was scheduled to happen at Front Street Festival Plaza, one of several Saturday activities scheduled for downtown, including the Four States Auto Museum's Spring Car Show and the Texarkana Museums System's TinkerTown at Discovery Place Interactive Museum.

The Spring Car Show has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 18, said Jim Christian, board president of the Four States Auto Museum.

TinkerTown will stay downtown this Saturday and move indoors at both Discovery Place and the Museum of Regional History in the case of poor weather, said Velvet Cool, TMS board president.
