Movies in the Park slate announced

This summer's Movies in the Park series begins with a buzz and ends with a splash.

Texarkana, Texas, Parks and Recreation Department will screen a free movie outdoors in Spring Lake Park on four consecutive Thursdays beginning May 23.

The final film in the series, "Aquaman," will be screened June 13 near the park's Rotary Splash Pad, which will remain open past its usual closing time at sunset.

Each movie will begin as the sun sets, around 8:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Viewers are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on. Concessions will be for sale.

Teen Miles Morales becomes the Spider-Man of his reality, crossing paths with five counterparts from other dimensions to stop a common threat. Winner of the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for best animated feature.
