TC board considers manager for renovation

Texarkana College's Board of Trustees will consider a construction manager at-risk for renovation of the science, technology, engineering and math buildings during their regular meeting Monday.

It will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the Patman Room of the Truman Arnold Student Center, 2500 N. Robison Road, Texarkana, Texas.

The project will upgrade the buildings to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act and modernize the instructional space.

Last month, the board approved remodel proposals for plumbing fixtures, plumbing labor and toilet partitions for a total of $100,416 and a $19,800 bid from Impact Environmental Services for remodeling the Health Occupations Building for use by the STEM department.

The renovation is part of the college's campus-wide improvement plan. The work will be paid for through the $10 million maintenance tax note the board approved in February.

The board will also hold an executive session to consider personnel.
