Cash Mob will gather to support businesses

Cash Mob will gather to support businesses

May 25th, 2019 by Gazette Staff in Texarkana News

The Chamber of Commerce announced its first-ever Chamber Cash Mob.

The community event will take place 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the corner of Olive and Broad streets in Texarkana, Ark.

Cash Mobs are flash mobs, but instead of singing and dancing, the group spends money—targeting chamber businesses. The group's intentions are to help businesses grow, make people happy, purchase goods and have a great time, according to a statement released by the chamber.

Special promotions will be offered during the event, and the chamber asks for people to bring at least $10 cash to spend.

The Texarkana Chamber of Commerce is a private not-for-profit membership trade association that focuses on community and economic development for the Texarkana region. The chamber has been a community partner more than 100 years in Bowie and Miller counties.

Information on the chamber and the upcoming program can be found at 819 N. State Line Ave. in Texarkana, Texas, or call 903-792-7191.
