No current threat at school according to PGISD officials

TEXARKANA, Texas - There is no current threat to Pleasant Grove High School and no disruption has occurred to school operations, according to school officials.

PGISD posted a statement on its Facebook page Tuesday regarding a potential threat.

"We want to provide you with information in regards to a concern over a potential threat made against Pleasant Grove High School. Overnight, campus administration was made aware of a social media post that raised concern. Campus administration reported the post to the PGISD School Resource Officer," the post said.

The Texarkana, Texas, Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, and campus administration continue to work together to ensure the safety of our campus, according to the post.

"There is no current threat to Pleasant Grove High School or its staff or students at this time. There has been no disruption to the normal school day operations. The safety of our students and staff is the top priority in the Pleasant Grove Independent School District. We would like to thank the Texarkana Texas Police Department and the Department of Public Safety for their diligence in assisting campus administration and ensuring the safety for all," the post said.
