Home Furniture World is clearing out some merchandise to make way for an interior redesign.

Home Furniture World on State Line Avenue, which has been in business for two years, is selling furniture at steep discounts and plans to restructure the store.

This is not a permanent closing, store owner Alex Awad said.

"We intend to restructure the store," Awad said. "We want to clear as much space as possible to make it easier to work."

As one browses through the interior of the store, one sees a huge variety of options for furnishing and decorating the home. The new interior will feature the same approach to furniture sales, just with a rearranged space.

"We offer a wide variety, no particular theme or pattern," Awad said. "We just have a large space to give our customers lots of options."

No set date has been given on when the store will actually close and the remodeling will begin.

"It will happen when we have moved enough merchandise out of the way," he said.

The new look is still something of a mystery, even for Awad and his associates.

"We haven't decided just what it is going to be like yet," he said. "We are still considering ideas. It's going to be fantastic when we are done, though."

Signs advertise steep cuts, with "up to 70 percent" touted on the front of the store, as well as signs all over town. Even then, Awad says they are open to negotiation.

"We will offer more discounts on certain size purchases," he said.

A little bit of everything is what Home Furniture World offers now. This is what it will offer when the store reopens for business after they complete the remodeling.

"This is what we do," he said. "This is what we are going to do when it is all done."
