The Salvation Army Texarkana Corps is taking registration for its Angel Tree program. The program provides Christmas gifts for disadvantaged children and seniors in Bowie County in Texas and Miller and Little River counties in Arkansas.

Call 870-774-2701 from 9 a.m. to noon or from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for an appointment to register a child or senior. The program is open to kids from infant to 11 years old and seniors 62 and older. Appointments are available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 21, Oct. 23 and Oct. 24, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 22 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 25.

The following items are needed to register:

- a valid form of identification, including a U.S. driver's license, state-issued ID, U.S. passport, employer ID card, government ID, Matricula consular ID card or other approved forms at the discretion of the Corps officer.

- proof of address, including a current utility bill in the same name as the person applying, rental lease contract or child's school enrollment record.

- proof of income, including a current payroll check stub, bank statement, SSI or Social Security.

- documentation of any government assistance, including TANF, SNAP, TEA, SSI, Social Security, HUD Housing, Medicare or Medicaid.

- birth certificates are required for each child or senior that is registered.
