TEMPLE, Texas-Police say an 87-year-old man found dead along a more than 50-foot cliff near a Central Texas lake killed himself.
Temple police on Wednesday said preliminary autopsy results show Robert James McClure of Belton, Texas, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Some boaters on Belton Lake spotted the body Monday.
Police located a handgun at the scene.
