Cars of Bexar County Jail deputies damaged by gunfire

SAN ANTONIO-Authorities in San Antonio are searching for someone who drove up to the parking lot used by Bexar County Jail employees and opened fire.

At least three cars belonging to detention deputies were damaged.

Sheriff's department spokesman James Keith tells San Antonio TV station KENS that a surveillance video from Wednesday night shows an SUV slows, puts on its four-way flashers and then someone starts shooting.

Keith says authorities are looking into whether the shooting is a random act or someone is targeting the sheriff's office or its employees.

Earlier this month, someone shot at the San Antonio police headquarters. That incident remains under investigation.
