OMAHA, Texas-A Willis Point, Texas, man was killed Monday when he was struck by a truck-tractor on Interstate 30 in Morris County.
The accident happened at 2 p.m. about nine miles north of Omaha, according to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates a 2016 Freightliner truck-tractor, towing a 2013 Great Dane Trailer, was traveling west on I-30 when a pedestrian walked into the lane of traffic and was struck by the truck-tractor.
The pedestrian, Joel Ethan Dockery, 43, of Willis Point, was taken to East Texas Medical Center, where he later died from his injures.
The driver, Larry G. Kinney, 55, of Brownville, Tenn., was not injured.
