Friends and fellow musicians of Roger "Raj" Adcock are making sure Adcock is taken care of in a time of great need.

Adcock, 49, suffered serious injuries last week in a motorcycle accident in Bowie County. He remains in intensive care.

"He is a really nice guy who would do anything for you. He acts rough and gruff on the outside but he has a very big heart," Adcock's friend Ken Coltharp said Wednesday.

Adcock has always played benefits for others in need.

"He has played benefits for so many people. He has also ran the sound for benefits," Coltharp said.

His friends are now taking donations for Adcock and his family. Donations can be made at Fat Jack's on North State Line Avenue or by contacting the friends who established the "Prayers for Roger" Facebook page.

Adcock plays guitar, bass and also sings. He is in the local band "One Night Stand." He has also previously played with bands "Mystery Machine" and "Crooked Halo."

The accident happened on Warren Thomas Road outside Texarkana, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety report. No other vehicles were involved.

According to the report, Adcock was riding his Harley Davidson westbound on County Road 1353 (Warren Thomas) when he lost control on a curve and went off the road and struck a metal pipe fence. According to the report, the Harley Davidson went back on the road but Adcock was thrown off the motorcycle.
