A Texarkana, Ark., man drowned in Lake O' the Pines on Saturday afternoon after he jumped off a barge to try to retrieve a pool toy, Marion County Game Warden Robb Furlow said Monday.
Furlow said the man, later identified as Devinson Sergio, was on a barge with several family members in the area close to Hurricane Creek before he drowned in the lake.
Referring to people on the barge, he said, "Apparently, they saw him going down" in the water.
He added it took rescue workers about two hours to retrieve Sergio's body.
