SIDNEY C. TAYLOR

Sidney Clarence Taylor, 84, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, April 29, 2016, in a local hospital. Mr. Taylor was born Nov. 9, 1931, in Cass County, Texas. He was a retired millwright for Weyerhaeuser, a former oil field driller, a member of Beech Street First Baptist Church and a Korean War Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Taylor; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and John Kennedy of Bradley, Ark.; one brother, Phillip; one sister, Ellen; two granddaughters and one grandson-in-law, Amy and Shay Cannon and Rebecca Kennedy of Bradley; two great-grandchildren, Allie Cannon and Cody Cannon; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, with the Revs. Craig Jenkins, Richard Posey and Anthony Page officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Bradley.
