GWENDOLYN BROWNING

Gwendolyn Joy Browning, 86, of Hooks, Texas, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Browning was born May 10, 1930, in Westover, Texas. She was retired from Red River Army Depot and a member of Hooks United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie; and one son, Rodney Charles Browning. Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Sandra Browning of Hooks; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jerry and Peggy Gray, Glen "Oakie" and Sue Gray and Kenneth Gray; one grandson, Charles Browning of Fayetteville, Ark.; one granddaughter, Courtney Browning of Hooks; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Revs. Keith Ducroz and Lester Colley officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
