MAC SIMPSON

Ewell Mac Simpson, 94, of Garland, Texas, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, in Shreveport, La. Mr. Simpson was born Dec. 19, 1921, in DeKalb, Texas. He was retired from the Postal Service, a Shriner, a Mason, a member of Saturn Road Church of Christ, Garland, and a World War II Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Earline Simpson of Garland; two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Mac and Helen Simpson of Plano, Texas, and Richard and Barbara Simpson of Bossier City, La.; two sisters, Jerry Vaughan of Texarkana and Margaret Brown of Nash, Texas; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with Bill Paxton officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
