EDITH WAITES

ATLANTA, Texas—Edith Williams Waites, 87, of Cass County, Texas, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Waites was born June 14, 1929, in Cass County. She was a homemaker and a member of Huffines Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Waites; and one son, Doug Waites. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Michael and Gail Waites of Alvin, Texas, and David Alan and Angie Waites of Atlanta; two sisters-in-law, Merlyn Goodman and Erdyce Horvatinovc; three grandchildren and one spouse, Gwen Waites, Chris Waites and Hope Nichole and John Ortigo; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Atlanta, with Earl Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Huffines Cemetery under direction of Hanner Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
