CALVERT PRUITT

CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Calvert D. Pruitt, 71, of Clarksville died Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, in a local nursing home. Mr. Pruitt was born June 4, 1945, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He was a self-employed plumber and a choir member of Haywood Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose McDonald Pruitt. Survivors include one daughter, Shondra Pruitt of Dallas; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Terry Pruitt of Clarksville and Joe and Sophia Gray of Dallas; one sister, Shirley and Arthur McDow of Dallas; one brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Patricia Pruitt of Clarksville; one aunt, Alfreda Johnson of Dallas; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Citizens Funeral Home with the Revs. Glenn Scott and Elvis McGraw officiating. Burial will be in Haywood Cemetery. Online registration is at citizensfuneralhome.com.
