JEAN JAMES

Jean Dian James, 64, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016, at her home. Ms. James was born Jan. 21, 1952, in Texarkana. She was retired from TISD and a member of Mount Orange Baptist Church. Survivors include her mother, Mattie James of Texarkana; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and William Armstrong of Richardson, Texas, and Velma and Joseph Johnson of Arlington, Texas; one brother, Howard James Jr. of Tucson, Ariz.; and one nephew and spouse, Darrel and Tracie Jones of Houston. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Orange Baptist Church with the Rev. Leslie Brembry officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Haynes Mortuary. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Online registration is at haynesmortuary.com.
