VELMA CHAMBERS

STAMPS, Ark.—Velma L. Williamson Chambers, 88, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Chambers was born Feb. 29, 1928, in Emmet, Ark. She was a retired production worker with Lone Star Ammunition Plant. Survivors include one son, Johnny L. Chambers Sr. of Texarkana; two daughters, Judy L. Chambers and Virginia R. Jamison of Texarkana; three sisters, Bobbie McFadyen of Maywood, Ill., Helen Mathis of Emmet and Essie Morrison of Hope, Ark.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. today at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church with T.J. Roberson officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Smith Funeral Home.
