VERNITA MOORE

Vernita Moore, 90, of Texarkana, Ark., died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, in Texarkana. Ms. Moore was born Feb. 22, 1925, in Horatio, Ark. She was a cook. Survivors include two sons, Tom Moore Jr. of Gresham, Ore., and Edward G. Moore of Texarkana; and five daughters, Peggy Moore of Vallejo, Calif., Barbara Henderson of Cedar Hill, Texas, Phyllis Lindsey of Huntsville, Ala., Shelia Moore of Texarkana and Teresa Martin of Mansfield, Texas. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Lonoke Baptist Church with Marilyn French and Elder Elvis Scott Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Fair Haven Cemetery under direction of Jones Stuart Mortuary. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
