LAWRENCE BOOTH

ATLANTA, Texas—Lawrence "Cool Cat" Booth, 74, of Queen City, Texas, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, in a local nursing home. Mr. Booth was born March 3, 1941, in Queen City. He was self-employed in construction and a member of Shiloh No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church, Atlanta. Survivors include his wife, Georgia Booth of Atlanta; four daughters, Sherri Kelley of Beaumont, Texas, Patricia Hendricks of Waldo, Ark., Shanequa Booth of Queen City and Lakesha Booth of Atlanta; three sons, James Booth of Dallas, Gary Barron of Henderson, Texas, and Anthony Booth of Atlanta; one sister, Alene Dyson of Dallas; one brother, Calvin Booth of Dallas; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church, Bivins, Texas, with the Rev. Richard Davis Sr. officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery under direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home. The body may be viewed noon to 5 p.m. today with visitation 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
