DORIS FLOYD

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—Doris Floyd, 93, of Daingerfield, Texas, died Thursday, July 14, 2016. Ms. Floyd was born Sept. 21, 1922. She was a charter member of Veal Switch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Floyd. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Grace Ann and Ronny Childree; one sister, Marcell Jones; three grandchildren, Gregg Childree, Jerry Childree and Terri Maiale; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Veal Switch Baptist Church with Mark Young officiating. Burial will be in Veal Switch Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
