BILLY WAITS

Billy D. Waits, 76, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, July 22, 2016, at his home. Mr. Waits was born May 12, 1940, in Texarkana. He was retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Co., an Air Force veteran and a member of Texarkana Bass Club. Survivors include his wife, Cindy Miner Waits of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Chris Waits of Texarkana, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and Phillip Spillane of Baton Rouge, La.; five grandchildren, Mallory Rivera, Alex Waits, Amanda Antonio, Jessie Self and John Michael Spillane; and six great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at East Funeral Home, Moores Lane with the Rev. Carl Teel officiating. Cremation under direction of the funeral home. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Online registration is at eastfuneralhomes.com.
