DAVID PLUMLEY

HOPE, Ark.—David Plumley, 66, of Lewisville, Ark., died Saturday, July 23, 2016, in a Little Rock, Ark., hospital. Mr. Plumley was born Feb. 21, 1950, in Hope. He was a retired bricklayer, a Marine and Vietnam War veteran and of the Assembly of God faith. He was preceded in death by one son, Andrew Plumley; one daughter, Robin Plumley; and one stepdaughter, Monica McLellan. Survivors include two stepsons, Scotty Reese and David McCord; one daughter, Shannon Cook of Kirby, Ark.; one brother, Spencer Plumley of Lewisville; two sisters, Lana Peterson of Longview, Texas, and Lisa Grasso of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, Baylie Cook, Katie Cook and Austin Cook; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home with Jimmy Bobo and Spencer Plumley officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Knighton Cemetery in Lewisville. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Online registration is at brazzelfuneralhomes.com.
