EARLTON STEED

Earlton Ray "Buddy" Steed, 87, of Texarkana, Ark., died Saturday, April 30, 2016, at his home. Mr. Steed was born Dec. 26, 1928, in Cass County, Texas. He was retired from the natural gas industry and a member of Highland Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Pearl Steed. Survivors include his wife, June Dempsey Steed of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Earl and Donna Rae Steed of Yukon, Okla.; two sisters, Geraldine Pero and Diane Bowden; two grandchildren, Bryan Roe of Bridge Creek, Okla., and Stacie McGlamery of Bossier City, La.; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Olive Branch Cemetery, Doddridge, Ark., with Chris Hooten officiating. Burial will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
