MARVIN STANLEY

DeKALB, Texas—Marvin E. Stanley, 87, of New Boston, Texas, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016, in a Texarkana, Texas hospital. Mr. Stanley was born Jan. 19, 1929, in Kirbyville, Texas. He was a retired sheet metal worker and a Korean War Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Stanley. Survivors include one son, Michael Marvin Stanley of Irving, Texas; five special friends, Marsha King and Roger McCandless of Foreman, Ark., and Alice Smith and Randy and Neva Smith of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Zion Hill Cemetery, Kirbyville, Texas, under direction of Bates Family Funeral Home. Online registration is at batesfamilyfuneralhome.com.
