JOHNNY DICKERSON

ATLANTA, Texas—Johnny Oran Dickerson, 75, of Douglassville, Texas, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, in Douglassville. Mr. Dickerson was born Oct. 16, 1940, in Douglassville. He was a truck driver and a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Douglassville. Survivors include two sons, Johnny O. Dickerson Jr. of Tennessee and Stephen B. Dickerson of Hutchins, Texas; one daughter, Shonda Talbert of Dallas; two sisters, Evelyn Dickerson of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Mildred D. Harris of Douglassville; four grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. George Rape officiating. Burial will be in St. John Baptist Church Cemetery under direction of Community Mortuary. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
