NEW BOSTON, Texas—Richard Carter "Rick" Meredith, 65 of New Boston died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 at his home. Mr. Meredith was born Sept. 6, 1951 in Mobile, Ala. He was a retired self-employed master electrician, a member of Malta Baptist Church and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Mary Meredith of New Boston; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Tammi Meredith of Grand Prairie, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dana and Blaine Johnson of Cedar Hill, Texas, and Diane and Nelson Thompson of New Boston; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Malta Baptist Church, Malta, Texas under direction of Bates Rolf Funeral Home, New Boston. Memorials may be made to CASA.
