DALLAS—Joan Lavon Sears Ryden, 91, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016 in a Texarkana nursing home. Mrs. Ryden was born July 2, 1925, in South Dakota. She was an LVN, owned a petting farm and a member of Trinity Church, Cedar Hill, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ryden; one son, David Ryden; and one daughter, Sharon Ryden. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, John and Karen Ryden of Red Lick, Texas; four daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Terry Harder of Redford, Mich., Karen and Jim Treadwell and Janice and David Scott of DeSoto, Texas, and Deborah and Victor Elrod of Naples, Texas; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
