Dura E. Williams Wilson Purifoy

Dura E. "Dood" Williams Wilson Purifoy, age 103 of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, September 23, 2016 in a local hospital. Mrs. Purifoy was born November 30, 1912 in Bowie County, Texas and was a lifetime resident of the Eylau Community in Texarkana. She was a member of Eylau United Methodist Church and retired from Day and Zimmermann Inc. Dura was preceded in death by her three husbands, Warren Williams, Hollis Wilson and Marshall Purifoy and one son Don Williams. She is survived by one daughter Kay Williams Adcock and her husband, Aubrey of Richardson, Texas; one sister; Raby Little of Atlanta, Texas; her stepchildren: Larry Purifoy and his wife Kay, Wanda Purifoy, Ray Purifoy and his wife, Guadalupe, four grandchildren: Don Williams Jr., Angel Dancer, Michael Adcock, and Leslie Adcock; four great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Purifoy's life will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Chapelwood Funeral Home with Rev. Robert McCarver officiating. Burial will be in Eylau Methodist Cemetery.
