HOPE, Ark.—Melissa Applegate, 51, of Hope died Saturday, April 22, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Applegate was born June 2, 1965 in Hope. She was a homemaker and a Christian. Survivors include her husband, Kenny Ray Applegate; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Mae Applegate and Lee Payton; two sons, Keith Ray Franklin and James Wade Applegate; seven grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Foster Cemetery, Spring Hill, Ark., with Ernie Sorrels officiating. Burial will be under direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home.
