Lile Aaron Kitchens, age 85 of Lewisville, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at his home. Mr. Kitchens was born August 18, 1931 in Hope, Arkansas to James Riley and Josie Kitchens. He was a member and Trustee of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Lewisville. Mr. Kitchens was the past President and Treasurer of Lafayette County Farm Bureau for 40 years and was a Soil Conservation Board member for 40 years. In 2004, he and family received the Lafayette County and Southwest District Farm Family of the year. Mr. Kitchens was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Jerry Lile Kitchens. He is survived by wife, Wanda Beatrice Kitchens of Lewisville, AR; son, Tim Kitchens and wife, Gloria also of Lewisville; two daughters, Janice Reid and husband, Lyndol of Texarkana, AR and Tina Kitchens of Hope, AR; sister, Ilena Jones of Benton, AR and her children, Phil Jones of Hensley, AR and Gary Jones and wife, Carolyn of Benton, AR; two grandsons, Sean Hill and wife, Bridget of Texarkana, AR and Jeremy Kitchens and wife, Tracie of Lewisville; four granddaughters, Shannon Gerth and husband, Nathan of Hope, AR; Melissa Phillips and husband, Heath of Mena, AR; Katy Hayes and husband, Ryan of Bradley, AR; and Carissa Gooch and husband, Zack of Lewisville; two great grandchildren, Madisyn Marie Kitchens of Hope and Gage Aron Kitchens of Lewisville; two step grandchildren, Kirsten West and Kristopher Goodwin both of Texarkana, AR; step great granddaughter, Ryleigh West also of Texarkana; and brother-in-law, Jewell McClellan of Lewisville. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, Arkansas with Bro. Kenny Polk and Bro. Takumi Nisiuchi officiating. Interment will follow at Wilson Cemetery in Lewisville, AR. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Sean Hill, Jeremy Kitchens, Zack Gooch, Ryan Hayes, Heath Phillips, and Nathan Gerth. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps. Memorials may be made to Piney Grove Baptist Church or Hospice of Texarkana.
