ELAINE PATTERSON

Elaine Augusta Barker Patterson, 98, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Patterson was born Nov. 16, 1918, in Burns, Kan. She was retired from Sears, Roebuck & Co. and a member of Eylau United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Eastern Star and Bowie County Extension Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verland Patterson. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Melody Patterson; two grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, Ronald Jr. and Caron Patterson and Joshua Patterson; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Andrea and Craig Wilson; two stepgrandsons and stepgranddaughters-in-law, Adrian and Emily Greer and Jeremy and Angie Greer; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Eylau United Methodist Church with the Revs. Paula Behrens and Chuck Bratz officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
