BERNARD SIMMONS

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Bernard Wesley Simmons, 88, of New Boston died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, in a local hospital. Mr. Simmons was born Feb. 5, 1928, in Boxelder, Texas. He was retired from the city of Dallas, a member of Church of God and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Simmons; and one son Roger Simmons. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Carl Keely of Texarkana, Texas; one daughter-in- law, Beverly Simmons of Texarkana; two grandsons, Jason Bradford and Chad Bradford of Texarkana; three granddaughters, Angelle Heath of San Antonio and Alexandra Simmons and Ashley Simmons of Texarkana; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
