HOPE, Ark.—Edythe McBride, 69 of Emmet, Ark., died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, in Little Rock, Ark. Mrs. McBride was born July 14, 1947, in Lake Village, Ark. She was a retired dispatcher with the Hope Police Department and formerly employed by L&L Logging. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby McBride. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Jared Thomas of Redwater, Texas, and Tiffany and Billy Watters of Willisville, Ark.; two brothers, Landy Hodges of Emmet and Alvin Hodges of DeAnn, Ark.; three sisters, Glenda Watts of Emmet, Cathy Brown of Hope and Janette Silliman of Prescott, Ark.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home with Haagon Lister officiating. Burial will be in Snell Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
