ATLANTA, Texas—Jackie "Jack" Cranford, 78, of Douglassville, Texas, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at a local hospital. Mr. Cranford was born Aug. 13, 1938, in Smithville, Okla. He was a retired Dallas police officer, former security officer at a veterans hospital in Dallas and an Air Force veteran. Survivors include his wife, Carol Cranford of Douglassville; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Susan Cranford of Little Elm, Texas, and Chris and Crystal Cranford of Longview, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Kellie and Frank Hugues of Ennis, Texas; one brother, Don Cranford of Liberty Hill, Texas; one sister, Joyce Tigert of De Queen, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
