MARGARET CARTER

NAPLES, Texas—Margaret Lanora Carter, 91, of Naples died Wednesday, July 19, 2017, in Hughes Springs, Texas. Mrs. Carter was born April 28, 1926, in Naples. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Carter, in 1998. Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Claudette Wakefield and Barbara Carter of Naples and Mary and Terry Lewis of Hockley, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Nan Carter of Treasure Island, Fla., and David and Tracey Carter of Naples; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Springhill Cemetery. Burial will be under direction of Harrison Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
