HAZEL WALKER

DE QUEEN, Ark.—Hazel L. Burris-Walker, 97, of De Queen died Monday, July 10, 2017, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Walker was Sept. 25, 1919, in Sevier County, Ark. She attended St. John Baptist Church, Broken Bow, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Walker. Survivors include two nephews and spouses, Dr. Clifton F. and Donna Burris of Gary, Ind., and Earl and Carolyn Burris of Mount Pleasant, Texas; two nieces and spouses, Linda and Burris Smith and Brenda and Ricky Young of Broken Bow; one foster niece, Bonita Gaffney-French of Horatio, Ark.; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Chandler Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Acres, Horatio. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.
