HOPE, Ark.—Lura Jean Willis, 83, of Hope died Thursday, July 20, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Willis was born April 5, 1934, in Holly Grove community, Ark. She was a choir member and Sunday School teacher of Emmet United Methodist Church, Emmet, Ark. Survivors include her husband, Dale Willis of Hope; three sons, Bob Willis of Hope, Richard Willis of Ripley, Tenn., and Ronald Willis of Emmet; one daughter, Bonnie Bennett of Texarkana; one brother, James Worthey of Texarkana; two sisters, Sybil Poole of Nocona, Texas, and Vonda Moore of Perrytown, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral home with the Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating. Burial will be in Worthey Cemetery.
