BYRON TEER SR.

Byron Emmitt Teer Sr., 96, of Miller County, Ark., died Wednesday, March 22, 2017. Mr. Teer was born March 19, 1921, in Miller County. He was retired from the Mail Terminal and Cooper Tire, a retired farmer, a Mason with Sidney Lodge No. 455, a deacon with Pisgah Baptist Church, and a World War II Navy veteran. Survived include one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Dennis Smith; one son, Byron E. Teer, Jr.; five grandchildren, Wayne Smith, Shane Smith, Derek Teer, Alex Teer and Lisa Teer; one sister-in-law, Odessa Collins; one special niece, Shirley Sumpter; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 4 p.m. today at Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial with military and Masonic rites will be in Independence Cemetery under direction of East Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at the church. Relatives will be at the home of Dennis and Deborah Smith, 13113 Hwy 71, Fouke. Memorials may be made to Pisgah Baptist Church.
