GEORGE FOMBY

ATLANTA, Texas—George C. Fomby, 85, of Tyler, Texas died Wednesday, March 22, 2017, in a Tyler, Texas hospice. Mr. Fomby was born Feb. 28, 1932, in Maud, Texas. He was retired from TRW Reda Pump and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna M. Fomby. Survivors include two children and spouses, George A. and Betty Fomby of Queen City, Texas, and Katherine and Jason Surratt of Tyler; one brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Shirley Fomby of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; three grandchildren, Nicole Bristol, Judith Blalock and DeAnna Surratt; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Hanner Funeral Service. Burial will be in Center Hill Cemetery. Online registration is at hannerfuneralservice.com
